POWER Baseball was founded in 2016 with a clear purpose: to guide, educate and advocate for aspiring players and their families.
Built by experienced coaches and baseball leaders, POWER recognizes that every athlete has unique value—and that no two development journeys are the same. Its commitment to transparency, advocacy and education has helped create meaningful opportunities for players at every level.
In this new brand video, discover how POWER Baseball began, the philosophy behind the program and what it means to deliver “More for Most.”
When Power Baseball first started I can remember all of us sitting in a room and we thought it was really important to understand like what are what are some principles that we feel we are going to be able to hang our hat on and really truly believe in long term and the unanimous thing was we have to have not only quality coaches but coaches that truly truly care about the player and want to have transformative relationships with the players and not just strictly transactional relationships. Yeah we were working for another organization at the time and we felt that myself, Brian and Jesse and our former partner Tony had all the tools that we needed to really step out on our own and and help as many kids as possible. One of our mottos is more for most and we think with all of us working together and all of our different connections that we have a really big network that we can help out a lot of players.
We just felt like there was a lot more opportunity to get our players in front of coaches. At the time it was like man we need to do more than just play baseball. Let's have showcases, let's have practices, let's have situations where college coaches can actually interact with our players and get to know them on a personal basis.
A lot of other organizations at the time were really just promoting their you know high-end athletes, their draft guys and their power four or power five back then and with us we wanted to make sure that every kid had the same experience. So our top Marucci kids get the same experience as our other teams because we really make sure that we work hard to get the college coaches and the proper college coaches to those games so those kids can get recruited. I think the the biggest thing we bring to the table as far as our families are concerned is we're very easy to get a hold of, very approachable, our phone lines are always open.
Usually if you text us or call us you're going to get an answer back by the end of the night if not immediately or within the hour. I know a lot of organizations out there it works more like a standard industry or company where you send an email or send a text message and it takes two or three days and we know in this business and in this baseball world everything happens pretty quick and you can lose out on opportunities just being a little bit late to the party. So I think that's a big advantage of playing for Power is you have complete access not only to the owners of Power Baseball but all of our coaches are also very well connected and knowledgeable and can answer questions for our parents as well.
Power Baseball summed up is our more for most initiative. We're going to do more for the players that fit inside the most category. We're not going to just cater towards the one percent player.
We are going to be able to service the elite one percent prospect type player. We're also going to invest into the five foot eight, 80 mile an hour right-handed arm that just wants to extend his career and play at the college level. We have a parent meeting for all of our parents.
Each kind of group of each grad class goes in individually and gets a little bit of a pep talk, lets them know what recruiting looks like for their age group so that they're prepared and we can relieve some stress off the parents and the players because it's obviously really stressful for a parent because they don't have any control over this for their son. We do some testing with Curve. So we do some ball tests with Trackman.
We get vertical jumps, grip strength. We utilize the Proteus and we get some run time so that we can collect some really good data because data is really important nowadays. College coaches are looking at it but you also have to be good baseball players.
We're hoping to make it easier communication between player and coach and not only easier to you know get the information but also to know you're getting accurate information. When you join Power Baseball you can expect no frills, you can expect direct, you can expect to know what you're going to get and you're going to expect the same energy and effort from our staff as that we expect from the player on the field.
