CURVE Sports Names Universal Speed Rating Official BODY Testing Partner for the CURVE Sports Test

USR’s certified Speed Labs join TrackMan, Proteus Motion and Senaptec in delivering CURVE’s integrated BALL, BODY and BRAIN athlete assessment

TAMPA, FL — Wed, Sept 9th, 2026 — CURVE Sports today announced a national partnership with Universal Speed Rating (USR), naming USR the official field-testing partner for the BODY component of the CURVE Sports Test.

Through the partnership, certified coaches from USR’s nationwide Speed Lab Community will administer standardized speed, acceleration, power and change-of-direction testing at CURVE events across the country. The partnership brings trusted local testing expertise into CURVE’s complete athlete assessment and development system.

The CURVE Sports Test combines expert testing with best-in-class performance technology to evaluate the complete baseball athlete across three connected areas:

BALL uses TrackMan technology to capture objective hitting, pitching and ball-performance data.
BODY combines verified athletic testing delivered by Universal Speed Rating with Proteus Motion technology to evaluate the physical qualities that support on-field performance.
BRAIN uses Senaptec technology to assess the visual, sensory and cognitive skills that influence how athletes process information and react during competition.

Together, BALL, BODY and BRAIN create a verified performance profile that helps athletes understand where they are today and what they need to improve. The data can be used to build individualized training programs, measure progress over time and provide coaches and recruiters with a more complete, objective view of each athlete.

Universal Speed Rating has built a national community of performance coaches focused on measuring athleticism, using data to guide training and helping athletes track meaningful improvement over time. Certified Speed Labs will be selected based on event location to administer testing on-site and maintain consistent standards throughout the CURVE event network.
